Research

CAPIE conducts both primary and secondary research, with a focus on highlighting issues facing the Asian and Pacific Islander (API) communities, particularly older adults and persons with disabilities. We also conduct research for partner organizations, both API focused and non-API focused. CAPIE's research activities are supervised by its co-founder, William Lu, who is a PhD student at the University of Washington, where he conducts research using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies.

Articles

CAPIE intends to publish articles on its website and on peer-reviewed journals, with a focus on highlighting issues faced by the API community, persons with disabilities, and older adults.

Research Grants

CAPIE intends to conduct grant-funded projects consistent with its mission of advancing the interests of members of our communities that are underserved.

Supporting Research

In keeping with its inclusive mission of serving all members of our communities regardless of race or ethnicity, CAPIE will provide original research, such as research on demographics, to other nonprofits at no or nominal cost.
